Dr. John DuRussel

Dr. John DuRussel was born in Brighton, Colorado, but resided in rural Michigan for most of his life. Growing up in a small town instilled in him a great sense of community. Working on his family farm ingrained in him the importance of hard work, dedication, and pride. Dr. DuRussel’s mother worked for both his family dentist and orthodontist and this exposure created an interest in dentistry from an early age. Once in dental school, he chose to pursue orthodontics because it allowed him to work with positive, energetic patients and to affect a beneficial change in their lives.

Dr. DuRussel received his B.S. in Physiology from Michigan State University, and a M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. DuRussel then went on to earn his D.D.S. degree and his M.S. in Orthodontics from the University of Michigan. The University of Michigan is regarded as one of the finest orthodontic training facilities in the world. Dr. DuRussel comes from a background of providing orthodontic care to thousands of underserved children and adults while overseeing the clinical operations of 21 orthodontic practices across the U.S.
